‘Godhuli’ ‘Dusk’ – The Beauty of Setting Sun in Himalayas : Uttarakhand

Twilight in India is called “Godhuli Vela” or the time when cows return home from the pastures. The dust which rises from their hooves gives the time its name.

The images here are captured at Pithoragarh Region of Uttarakhand during a recent visit to the heavenly Himalayan hills in December 2012.

      • You must do that, and I’ll be more than happy to give suggestions for the trip whenever you plan to visit India. I am a bit partial to Himalayas because my ancestors lived there, but it is an amazing experience which has attracted travelers from across the globe for centuries. Add it to your bucket list🙂
