The Vibrant Colors of Rural India…
Whenever I get the opportunity to travel across the country I love to soak in the Rural landscape of India, I love to capture the images which bring out the vibrancy of Rural India. They may lack a lot of things the Big Cities of Urban India may boast of but one area where they are unbeatable is the non-glamorized beauty of pure nature and innocently frank attitude of the people. The vibrancy of Rural India is unmatched.
The only other common theme that I observed was the discontentment with the political parties driven to a point of utter despair by the inefficient working and highest ever level of corruption by the Congress Party and its partners in crime who have almost ruined the growth story of Indian in the last one decade that they are at the helm of affairs. The people are totally unforgiving in their criticism of these corrupt politician.
Gujarat comes across as a breath of fresh air, people in far flung rural areas, who have never even visited Gujarat, talk about its development under Narendra Modi‘s leadership and are awaiting for the moment when he will get a chance to do something for them as well by becoming the Prime Minister of India. If I ever felt a grassroot level movement for one personality who is derided almost on a daily basis by the National English Media, it is now there for Narendra Modi. People are genuinely waiting for him to take up the big challenge.
I the last couple of months, I extensively covered, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar and everywhere I went, people expressed their voice clearly that India today needs a strong, honest leader who can set the things right, get the things done quickly and efficiently, make a difference in the life of common people. Everyone is crying for development, which will help them upgrade their life. No one, irrespective of religion, cast or region, really cares about the political issues that divide the nation, all they really care about are the basic issues, of having roads, electricity and opportunity to make their life better. I really get surprised to hear from these people that they do not really want the dole outs from the Government, it means they are now able to see through the game of Congress Politics of keeping the people poor and without development, just eking their live miserably, totally dependent on handouts thrown their way by the people in higher places.
India is changing, and the wind of change is spreading across the regions. Its not going to take very long for this moment to show the result. India’s tryst with destiny is pending and long overdue now. Lets hope we are able to experiences the fruits of positive socio-economic development across rural India in our lifetime.
